Three sets of offspring from NYC joined parents (grandparents) for a fun weekend of skiing, tramping, exploring the Shaker farm and work site, exploring views from Tanglewood and of course Butternut ski were highlights. The Farm House is a lovely home and we couldn't believe how it just kept rambling. I especially liked the little first-floor bedroom, bath and sitting room - very charming and comfortable. Beautiful property - would have been very enjoyable without bad weather. We need a "do-over"!! |

| Feb 20, 2008 | We are installed in the farmhouse with a chicken roasting in the oven and a fire in the living room.
Entry was smooth and easy and the farmhouse is wonderfully furnished and equipped. Ann and I arrived with two small g'daughters by 4:20 pm so we had plenty of light to scope out the lights and beds and cooking gear while the girls (4 and 5) crashed around the paddock like ponies.
Beautiful day today with temp at Butternut rising to 40. We expect parents to arrive tonight --- late.

Jan 1, 2008 | The place was so welcoming as we arrived and accommodated our adults and children beautifully. We had fun finding all the various supplies and so many kitchen drawers! Got a beautiful snow on Sunday night and enjoyed skiing Jiminy Peak, sliding on a hill in the back area, making snow men and cross country and hiking in the back woods. |
